We were delighted to receive a generous donation of £1,000 from the Echo Junior Football League.
The money will be used to help fund activities as part of the JP8 Sport For Kids initiative.
JP8 Sport For Kids has already made donations to the One Touch Academy, Leaside Colts , United Amateurs U11, and helped a young man pay his team subs and match fees, when his parents began to struggle for money.
The Echo Junior Football League , based in Dagenham, was founded in 1964, and had it's 60th anniversary last year.
It was originally called the Dagenham Junior Football League, but it was renamed in 1999 to reflect its wider catchment area.
The league has grown steadily over the years and currently has over 200 boys and girls teams competing in it,
The teams are divided into different age groups, from Under-7s to Under-18s.
Echo JFL also organises a number of football festivals throughout the year, and is one of the best organised leagues in the UK.
As well as the generous donation, our Sunday XI were in action at M&B's, and secured a comfortable 6-0 victory, which moves them ever closer to the league leaders, with 4 games in hand.
After a busy morning, they deserved to be in the photos.
The JP8 family all share a common bond, a love of football and the desire to create a lasting legacy to remember Jacko. And it's a growing family or dedicated players, coaches, trustees, committee members, fundraisers, supporters and their families. And long may it continue !
