With knife crime still dominating the news in London, it's more important than ever that charities like JP8 help to keep our community safe.
We've teamed up with the Liam Taylor Legacy, to help fund 5 bleed control kits, which will be placed in local venues.
Liam Taylor was 19 when he was stabbed to death outside the Rose and Crown pub in Writtle, Essex on 31 January 2020. For the Taylor family, life changed forever. Liam's grandmother Julie, vowed she would not let his death "be in vain".
Julie Taylor is a force of nature, and works tirelessly to raise funds for bleed control kits, and visits prisons to talk to knife crime offenders.
So far, she has placed nearly 400 kits in venues all over Essex and London.
Her work was recognised in 2023 by the Prime Minister, as a part of the Points Of Light awards

First up was Brandon Clarke who completed the Big Half London Marathon on the 1st September 2024
The 13.1 mile flat route starts at Tower Bridge and finishes at Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The race passes through the boroughs of Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Lewisham and Greenwich.
Footballers train for repeated short bursts of energy rather than endurance running, so this was a superb effort.
Brandon is planning to run the Brighton Marathon next year, as part of 5 man JP8 team, with Scott, Shane, Ben and Callum
Another wonderful night at the M&B Club, topped up our fundraising for this particular project.
Our thank to Terry and Lisa for organising and hosting the quiz for us, and to all the teams that turned up to support the night.
A huge thank you also to the M&B club, who continue to be incredibly supportive of our charitable efforts.
The quiz featured rounds on World Records, Musicals, Food & Drink, Comedy Shows, Ball Games, Duets, Books, Science, Birds and Pot Luck.
It wasn't easy by any means, but our winners on the night were Sunderland AFC, with a fantastic 109 points out of a possible 130.
Adding the money raised by Brandon, to the takings from the Quiz Night, we managed to raise a fantastic £520.
